# Finta > Finta syncs your bank, credit card, brokerage, Stripe and Mercury accounts into Notion, Airtable, Google Sheets and Coda, so the finance system you already run stays current without CSV exports. The same synced data is open to AI assistants through the Finta MCP server, and to your own scripts through a REST API. Finta is for people who do their own finances in a workspace or spreadsheet: personal budgets, household check-ins, a small business's books, a nonprofit treasurer's ledger. Connect your accounts, pick where the data goes, and Finta keeps adding new transactions and balances on the timing each provider sets. Your bank decides how often new activity posts; Finta picks it up when it does. ## Destinations One set of bank connections can sync to several destinations at once. Holdings and investment transactions come from Plaid connections. ## AI assistants and the MCP server Finta MCP is a remote MCP server at https://mcp.finta.io/mcp. You add that URL to your AI client, sign in to Finta through OAuth, and choose which accounts the client can read. No API key to copy. - Clients: Claude on the web and desktop, added as a custom connector, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code Copilot, OpenAI Codex, Hermes Agent, and any other client that supports remote MCP over HTTP. - ChatGPT connects differently: a private Custom GPT that calls the Finta REST API with your API key. It can also manage your categories and the group each one sits in, manual accounts you created in Finta, and categorization rules, including re-running them over past transactions. - What it cannot do: move money, change your bank connections, or edit an account synced from your bank.
