Set or change your password

Create or update your Finta password from the Profile settings.

Opening your security settings

  1. Sign in to Finta and open the main menu.
  2. Head to Settings page.
  3. Scroll down to the Security card and click Change Password (or Set Password if you haven't set one yet).

You'll see a modal pop up where you can manage your password.

Changing your password

If you already have a password set up:

  1. Enter your current password.
  2. Type in a new password that's at least 8 characters long.
  3. Hit Save.

Your password updates right away. If you enter the wrong current password, we'll let you know so you can try again.

Setting a password for the first time

Signed up with Google or a one-time code? You can still add a password to your account:

  1. Open the Security card using the steps above.
  2. Click Set Password.
  3. Enter a new password (at least 8 characters) and click Save.

You can now sign in using your password or continue using Google or one-time codes.

Resetting a forgotten password

If you're locked out and can't remember your password:

  1. Go to the Finta sign-in page and click Forgot password?
  2. Enter your account email address.
  3. Check your inbox for the reset email (it might land in spam), then click the link inside.
  4. Create a new password on the reset page and submit it.

For security reasons, reset links expire after a while. If yours doesn't work anymore, just request a new one from the sign-in page.
