Prompt
Set [65/67] and $[X] before sending
Using my Finta data, give me a retirement readiness snapshot. 1. Retirement account inventory - List all retirement accounts you can see (401k, IRA, Roth IRA, SEP-IRA, pension, etc.) - Current balance for each - Total retirement assets 2. Growth trend - How have my retirement account balances changed over the past 12 months? - What's the approximate annual growth rate, combining contributions and market returns? 3. Contribution analysis - Based on transaction history, how much am I contributing per month and per year to retirement accounts? - Am I on track to max out my 401(k) ($23,500 in 2025) or IRA ($7,000)? - Is there any evidence I might be leaving employer match on the table? 4. Projection scenarios At my current balance and contribution rate, project my nest egg at age [65/67] using three scenarios: - Current pace (no change) - Maxing out contributions - Adding an extra $[X] per month Use a conservative 6% annual return for all scenarios. 5. Readiness benchmark - Common target: 10× salary saved by retirement age - Based on what you can see, how am I tracking against that benchmark? - What's the single most impactful change I could make right now? Flag clearly where you're estimating vs. working from confirmed data.

Retirement readiness prompt questions
- What if the AI can't see my 401k?
- Not all 401k providers offer data connections through Plaid. If your 401k doesn't appear, you can still run a partial analysis on your IRAs and other connected retirement accounts. For a complete picture, manually tell the AI your 401k balance and it will incorporate that into the projections.
- What should I put in the age and extra contribution fields?
- Replace [65/67] with your target retirement age. Replace $[X] with a monthly amount you're considering adding — for example, 200 for an extra $200/month. Remove the third scenario line if you don't want it.
- Is the 6% return assumption realistic?
- It's conservative by historical standards — the long-term average for a diversified equity portfolio is closer to 7-10%. Using 6% builds in a margin for fees, sequence-of-returns risk, and uncertainty. You can ask the AI to rerun the projections at a different rate.
- How does the employer match check work?
- The AI looks at your contribution patterns against the employer match threshold. It can only flag potential gaps — it doesn't have access to your specific employer match structure. Confirm the details with your HR or benefits portal.
